Hello, friends! Today, I’ve joined up with seven fellow bloggers to bring you even more lots of amazing Fall porch inspiration. Their porches are linked at the end of this post, so be sure to check them out when you are done here! And a huge thanks to Dawn over at Creative Cain Cabin for organizing everything!
Let me just start off by saying that calling our front porch an actual porch might be a bit of a stretch. Its a tiny little stoop. Tiny. My Fall lovin’ heart had to dress it up for the season, though. Enter our classic Fall front porch!
Last year, we visited Cape Cod during the Fall, and I was so inspired by all of the homes and colors there. I mean eye candy for days. I had to bring some of that New England feel to our own little saltbox colonial home, even if we are smack in the middle of the South.
This year, I decided to stick with all orange mums and pumpkins. Just like with our interior Fall decor, a traditional Autumn color palette outdoors gives me all the feels.
Every year we head to a local farm to pick out pumpkins and it is a highlight of the season. This year Ava even got to feed the owners’ goats!
To break up the orange, I picked up a variety of ornamental cabbage. I love the combination of the colors and textures, and now I want cabbage everywhere.
Those cute little bushel baskets were half off Hobby Lobby finds. The cabbage and mums look like they came straight from a farmer’s market tucked in there. To hide the black planters they came in, I cut down brown paper lunch bags. Then I slid the planters down into the bags and secured it with some twine.
A Fall version of “brown paper packages tied up with strings,” if you will!
I am so happy with how our Fall front porch turned out this year. It just goes to show, even if you don’t have a traditional “porch,” you can still decorate and make the most of what you have.
Stop by the rest of the front porches on this tour for more outdoor Fall inspiration!
