Hello, friends! Today I thought I’d share with y’all the super easy DIY patriotic banner I put together for our fireplace. Its honestly so simple that I wasn’t sure about sharing it, but hopefully it’ll inspire you or give you an idea to use in your own home. Total cost for this project was $6 and you just cannot beat that!
I started out with this chalkboard bunting I bought last Fall in Target’s dollar spot. I haven’t seen these recently, unfortunately. You could easily use any plain colored or burlap bunting thats readily available in Target’s party section or Hobby Lobby and get a similar result. I love keeping it up on our fireplace and adding things to it for a cheap and easy decor change.
Next, I found these wooden stars in the dollar spot a week or so ago. They were all strung together on a piece of thin rope. I wasn’t a fan of how it looked when they were hanging, so I pulled them off. Then, I found some mini clothespins I had leftover from a previous project. I used those to clip the stars to the chalkboard bunting instead.
I love how it turned out! For $6 and a few minutes of my time, I was able to create a cute and simple banner that adds a fun patriotic touch to our fireplace.
