Hey, y’all! Today, I am so excited to be teaming up with more awesome ladies to bring you some Fall inspiration for your home. We are focusing on Fall tables today, which is one of my favorite things to decorate in our house. Be sure to check out the other 9 bloggers’ tablescape posts which are linked at the end of my post!
While I love the neutral Fall decor trend as much as the next girl, something about rich warm colors, lots of layered textures and natural element just scream “Autumn” too me. These were the things that I focused on while creating my own Fall tablescape.
Starting with the centerpiece, I kept things pretty simple since our table is small. I layered a wreath around a footed wooden bowl which holds a DIY painted pumpkin and some faux leaves. Both the wreath and the bowl were Goodwill finds, and the pumpkin was free! Home decor doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to be pretty – If you take nothing else from this post, take that.
Also, don’t be afraid to use items in your home in unexpected ways. By using a wreath on the table, I added tons of visual weight, interest and texture.
Since I still couldn’t bear to put up my collection of vintage blue dishes, I incorporated them, too. I love how their color pops against all of the orange and wood tones. To create the actual table setting, I layered a large cream dinner plate (which works in lieu of a charger), a vintage blue dinner plate, a napkin, a vintage blue saucer (a bread or dessert plate would also work) and then a fresh mini pumpkin as a topper. This is my go to combination for setting my table and it always looks gorgeous with any combination of things!
The only new items on the table are the orange stripe table runner and napkins. I picked them up at World Market during a sale, and I’m so happy with them.
All in all, I’m loving how cozy and Fallish our dining table looks now. Better yet, the whole look cost me less than $20 because I used items that I had on hand, which allowed me to splurge a little on new linens. Fall decor can mean a multitude of things to lots of different people. To me, its making your home cozy, warm and inviting. You can see another of my Fall inspired tablescapes here and more Fall decor here and here. What does Fall decor mean to you?? I’d love to know, so give me your answer in the comments! xo
