The holidays are a magical time filled with special memories, traditions and loved ones. Yet, they can also be stressful and expensive… #amiright? If you’re like me and like to change your holiday decor from year to year, that can also rack up a high bill. DIYs are such a wonderful (and usually cheaper!) alternative to buying all new items for holiday decor. In that spirit, I put together a quick and easy kid friendly Christmas centerpiece in less than five minutes and for under $2!
Additionally, I’m so excited to be kicking off this holiday season by participating in the I DIYed That Blog Hop with some truly creative and talented bloggers. There’s also an amazing giveaway at the end that you are definitely going to want to enter!
A big thank you to Jen of Noting Grace for putting this hop together! If you are coming over from Jen’s blog, welcome! I’m so happy you stopped by! There are lots of types and styles of DIYs linked up at the end of my post, so do yourself a favor and stop by each of those posts once you’re done here.
Ok, now back to the easiest DIY I’ve ever done. I’m not even kidding, y’all! Quick? Check. Easy? Check. Cheap? Check. Able to withstand bombardment by several toddlers? Double check. (Mom mic drop.)
Here’s what you’ll need: (Some affiliate links provided. See my full disclosure here.)
Place whatever bowl or container you’ve chosen in the center of your table. I’m using my favorite footed wooden bowl. Its originally from Target, but I snagged mine at Goodwill!
Add your shatterproof ornaments. I used a mix of red, white and metallic that we had leftover after decorating our trees. Place enough into the bowl so that the ornaments create a bit of a mound.
Fill in any blank areas with your greenery or berry picks. I found these little mistletoe sprigs at Hobby Lobby for less than 50 cents a piece.
And that’s it! So easy, huh? I already had everything on hand except for the mistletoe and that could even be left out if you were in a time crunch. Now I’ve got a festive Christmas centerpiece for pennies and minimal effort.
Now for the giveaway! Just enter below and follow the instructions for additional entries. Good luck!
Kelly from The Tattered Pew is the next stop on the hop and you do not want to miss out on her darling DIY! Don’t forget to check out all of the other DIYs linked up below. There are some amazing ones that I can’t wait to try for myself!
